SiR – Her Too EP
Any day I get to listen to a new TDE project is a good day. On this Friday, we are treated with the official label debut from Cali singer SiR. The singles teasing this EP have been stellar, and to my ears so did the rest of the project. It’s a sun-soaked hazy batch of feel-good R&B with just the right amount of West Coast hip hop influence. Shouts to the King Mez feature too. He’s too slept-on. He was on Dr. Dre’s Compton for Based God’s sake! Doesn’t anyone care!? One final note before I depart and let you enjoy this thing: NO Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates on here. Think about that. After hearing this, a fresh collab with ANYONE from the imprint would be dirty. Gonna be bumping this all summer for sure.
